Ruth Marie Murphy, 87, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Pine Haven Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 26, 1926, in Evansville, to the late Leroy and Elizabeth (Hoke) Clem.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed little dogs and gardening. She was involved in St. Vincent’s Orphanage and Catholic Charities and had attended Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Murphy.
She is survived by her sons, Bill (Lucretia), David (Ruth) and Dennis Murphy; daughter, Pam (Tom) McCullough, all of Evansville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Clem; sister, Theresa Funk, both of Evansville; and many nieces and nephews.
