Ruth Eleanor Zehner

She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and Freedom IV Chapter of ABWA.

Eleanor retired from Kuester’s Hardware and later from Schnuck’s Markets. In their retirement she and her husband enjoyed collecting antiques. Eleanor loved her family and friends and they loved her.

She is preceded in death by husband, Carl Zehner Jr.; son, Carl Zehner Jr. III; son-in-law, Jim Mefford Sr.; brother, Winston Jones; sister, Annamerle Jones.

Eleanor is survived by daughter, Donna Mefford of Newburgh; son, Steve Zehner (Tina) of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Bill Pike Jr.(Kris) of Indianapolis; granddaughters, Angela Ames (Kevin), Jenny Angel (Raymond), Heather Zehner and friend, Julie Johnson, Jessica Zehner; great-grandchildren Tanner Pike, Haleigh and DJ Angel, Cameron Gray Angel; sisters, Darlene Carpenter (John) of Buffalo, NY, Gloria Jones of Alta Monte Springs, FL, and Sue Martin (John) also of Alta Monte Springs, FL.

The family would like to thank everyone at Woodland Convalescent Center and Asera Hospice for the loving care they provided our Mother.

Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, June 6, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Ange Relyea, with burial in Tupman Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
