He served in the US Army and worked for the Post Office for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Samuel was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Sue (Moore) Bogan; and grandson, Chase Hagan.
He is survived by his sons, Tony (Theresa) and John Bogan; daughter, Beth (Lester) Hagan; and grandchildren, Andy, Eric, Alex and Maddie Bogan and Brylee and Kylee Hagan.
Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin, with burial to follow. Friends may visit Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street, and Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the cemetery.
