Sarah F. Gardner

She was a hard-working woman, often holding down two jobs. Sarah enjoyed listening to country music. She often spent her free time wrangling her two sons. Sarah had a very caring spirit and will be dearly missed.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Jewel Gardner, Margie Finch, Faye Ward, Edith Wells, Jim Gardner, Harold Gardner, Tom Gardner, and Glenn Gardner.

She is survived by her sons, Rickie McKinney (Linda Hodge-McKinney) and Randell McKinney (Pam); grandchildren, Kallie McKinney and Natalie McKinney; great-granddaughter, Emily Metzger; sisters, Sue Hooper and Doris Martin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville, officiated by Tony Byrns. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Monday.
