

Selma was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was a lifelong member. She was active in the church choir and school affairs.
In October 1982 she retired from Inland Container after 35 years of service. She was a charter member of Paper Workers 1046 and member of God’s Word to the Nations Bible Society and Dr. James Kennedy Reclaiming Christ for America.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Ernst and Mathilda Schulz; and brother, Elmer Schulz.
Selma is survived by her daughter, Clara Jean Sears (Ernie); sons, Sylvester Alvey and Charles Alvey (Sherri); loving care takers, Michael and Laura Alvey; 11 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 100 E. Michigan St, Evansville, IN 47711, officiated by Pastor Matthew Schilling with burial at Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11:00 AM until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Child Welfare, Lutheran Heritage Foundation, and St. Paul’s Lutheran School.
