Sharon Hamilton Belt

Sharon Belt, 75, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020. She was born on Monday, February 5, 1945 in Harrisburg, Ill to Beulah Dallas and Harl Hamilton. She retired in 1999 after 20 years as a Kindergarten Assistant at Culver Elementary. After retirement, Sharon continued to volunteer with the EVSC at Fairlawn Elementary School, tutoring third graders. She loved sports, drawing, painting and music. Sharon was a member of Rapha Christian Center, and was a long time member of Trinity Wesleyan. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Bill Belt and her son, Billy Belt, Jr. She is survived by her son, Michael Belt; grandchildren, Cameron Belt (Kristy), Fullerton, CA, Conner Belt, Aubrey, TX, Savannah Belt, Lafayette, IN, Summer Belt, Nashville, TN, and Caleb Belt, Crawfordsville, IN; daughter-in-law, Susan Belt, Crawfordsville, IN; former daughter-in-law, Kay Belt, Corinth, TX; sister, Debbie Hiltz (Ray); and nieces, Amanda and Jennifer all from Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alexander Funeral Home to help the family off-set final expenses. A Private Graveside Service will be held on Friday at Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Jim Webb. A Public Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
