Sherri Lynn Williams

Sherri was a proud graduate of F. J. Reitz High School, class of 1981. After Sherri met her beloved husband, Robert, they raised their family and moved around the tri-state area. She was the rock that held her family together. Sherri was known for always opening her home to others with acceptance and love. Most of her children's friends referred to her as Mom.

Sherri's life was built on a foundation of love, caring and devotion. She took care of everyone else before herself. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. Even though life had its challenges and heartbreaks, she always tried to be the steady caring hand of comfort.

Sherri enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved to play games. She would stay up all night to play games, especially if her grown kids were over to play with.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Williams Jr. of Evansville; daughter, Rachel Hicks (Kyle) of Evansville; son, Jacob Williams (Tasha) of Francisco, IN; daughter, Christina Lemp of Evansville; and son, Ryan Williams; cherished grandkids, Calob, Shyanne, Autumn, Ryan Jr., Bobby, Emma, Kayden, Whitney, Wyatt, Waylon, Sawyer, Gunner, Stetson, and Katlynn; mother, Diane Tracy; brother, Glenn Tracy Jr. (Reneae), and many nieces and nephews she loved.

Sherri was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy; son, Robert "Robbie" Williams III, and her father, Glenn Allen Tracy Sr.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, therapists, and staff of Deaconess Gateway Hospital and The Village at Hamilton Pointe for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided Sherri throughout her battle.

Sherri's funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville, officiated by Pastor Terry Gamblin. Burial will follow in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
