Born on November 11, 1969, in Polangui, Albay, Philippines, Sol quickly made it clear he wasn’t going to live a boring life. Whether it was skipping school and getting caught by his family or keeping his family and friends on their toes with stories and humor and jokes, Sol entertained us all from the very beginning to end. He found joy in making others laugh, he never met a stranger and would give anyone the shirt off of his back. He loved hard and lived with purpose.
Sol spent over 20 years working for the United States Post Office where he was the light to many of his coworkers day, however, those that knew him would say that Sol’s dedication and where his heart and loyalty lied in serving his country in the military for over 26 years. Sol retired from the army in 2024, with two deployments leaving his brothers and sisters in arms with a lasting impressions, tons of laughs and built lifelong friendships that have proven to be a bond that made them family for life.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Anaba Peralta and father Floyd Peralta, and Gregoria Saquido Anaba, his beloved Lola whom he was raised by in the Philippines.
Sol is survived by his wife of 19 years, Tara Peralta of Evansville; his children, Grace Fuller, Wes Fuller, Ethan Fuller and Daylin Gardner all of Evansville; daughters, Calyssa, Krisabell, and Kinsey Peralta of Evansville; his step-mother, Emelita Peralta of Florida; his sister, May (Ralph) Sabaybay of Canada, sister, Charmaine (Kevin) Pangilinan and brothers, Charles (Ma Dyne) Peralta and Conrad Peralta, all of Florida; sister in law and brother in law, Micah and Bernie Schmitt of Evansville; nieces and nephews, Alex Kline, Joseph Sabaybay, Julia Sabaybay, Isaac Schmitt, Eliana Schmitt, Roman Schmitt, Isaac Pangilinan and Marcus Pangillnan; cousins, and more friends then can be counted.
In keeping with Sol’s spirit, friends and family are encouraged to honor Sol not just with reflection, but with laughter, story telling, and maybe even a with a joke or two. This is exactly what Sol would have wanted.
