

He graduated from Central High School in 1966 where he played football and basketball. Stan went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968 - 1974. He was proud to be a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League, River Bend Association and the Order of Owls.
He worked as a lithographer for Keller Crescent for 42 years and retired in 2009. Stan was a former member of St. Paul's UCC. He enjoyed playing fantasy football with his friend group at Leroy's. Stan was a dog lover. He never met a stranger and went above and beyond for those he cared for. Stan had a great sense of humor. He greatly enjoyed connecting with people, particularly at the gym. Stan was a fitness buff and made sure to get a work out in every day- rain or shine.
Stan was preceded in death by his son, Kirk Rickard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rosemary Rickard; sister, Monica Phillips; sister-in-law, Marybeth Josey; son, Shawn K. Rickard (Debbie); Aubrey (Rickard) Wheeler; nieces and nephews, Michaela Winters, Nick Sanders, Lynnsey (Phillips) Hollandsworth (Michael), and Nick Phillips (Kristen); and many cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville officiated by Pastor J.D. Rose. Military honors and burial will be follow at the cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
