He was a loving father and an amazing grandfather who loved his family and his church. He was a member of Harvestime Temple in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. He enjoyed cross-stitching, making picture frames, and was an avid fisherman.
Steve is survived by his sons, Scott and Tim Powell; daughter, Suzanne Powell; grandchildren, Larry Richmond (fiancée, Holly), Makenzi Hancock, Megan Hancock, and Daisha Hancock; great grandchildren, Xavier and Zariyah Richmond.

Mr. Powell will be cremated with no services at Alexander West Chapel.
