

Stephen H. Headley, 63, of Evansville, IN passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 25, 2024. He was born in New Martinsville, West Virginia on July 2, 1961 where he grew up. Steve moved to Evansville as a teenager and graduated from Reitz High School.
He was in the concrete industry for 25 plus years as a supervisor. He was known for his vibrant spirit and sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family and being outdoors watering the garden, singing his favorite songs. He loved traveling to Florida with his family and spending time on the beach. Steve was passionate about cooking for his family and was known for his excellent cooking skills.
Steve was a devoted husband, son, dad, and papaw. He was a "Simple kind of man."
Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Carl Headley; sister, Carol Headley; and step-father, Kenneth Koerber.
He is survived by his wife 24 years, Brenda (Gasaway) Headley; mother, Emma Koerber; children, Briawna Headley (fiance, Alfonso Roblero), Amber Headley, Justin Headley (wife, Amy), Candice Williams, Jennifer Williams (fiance, Jarrod Moore), Brittany Williams and Johnny Williams (wife, Rachel); grandchildren, Kimberly Williams, Abigail Williams, Kennedi Schaefer, Jensen Williams, Tobias Coomer, Adonis McNeal, Blake Shadrick, Jaden Harrell, Aereyauna Brown, Braydn Minnette, Alistair Headley, Breyannah Pace, Devyn Pace, Skye Brown, Zoey Brown; one great-grandchild, Layla Brown; and niece, Emily Headley-Fox (husband, Christopher).
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville, IN, 47712, officiated by Pastor Jerry Arman.
Friends and family may visit on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
