Steve & I go way back. The Evansville Co op was started while I was running the Liquor Barn, and we were buds from that.
Later, I bought the Duck Inn & started barbecuing. We shared a big common interest there. I then became a Liquor salesman with Steve as a customer. He was always one of my favorite sales calls (really had a temper 😉)
I was so proud of him for his success at Oink n Sqeal as well.
I considered Steve to be a good old friend, and I’m so very sorry for his passing. They’re not making them like that anymore.
