Bernadette "Rita" de Leon

Sybil Angel along with her husband Bruce were truly angels in my young life. As the eighth of twelve children, I knew our family was a herd when we would come over for Thanksgiving dinner. No one has ever been able to match Bruce's oyster dressing and those holidays our families shared remain some of my fondest childhood memories.
Sybil plays heavily in all my childhood memories, because she would take the older children into her home every time mom had another young one! She loved children and we were treated as her own while our mother was bringing another one of our tribe into this world.
Finally, the Angels always gave us an argument against Dad's insistence that we date only Catholics. We could point to the Angels as Protestants, and remind Dad of how wonderful his best friends were. It was one of the few times he would not argue with our push-back! Thank you, Sybil!!!

Marcia, Steve, Steven, Michelle, Ashton, & Mackenzie, I was so saddened to learn of your mom/grandmother/great-grandmother's passing. I met her a couple of times and I remember her beautiful smile. Keep her memory alive by sharing stories of her. You're all in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. ((HUGS))

Aunt Sybil was a very special person. Although many years have passed our family has so many wonderful memories of her. She was always the bright light and laughter at family gatherings.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God comfort and bless you.

Aunt Sybil was fun to joke with. I remember when I was young, I called her & asked her if her refrigerator was running & she said , yes, I better go get it! She ruined my punch line!
