Thelma M. Cooper, 84, of Evansville, IN passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Linda White hospice. She was born on December 7, 1936.
Thelma taught Sunday school at church and was a member of Sebree Mission Church in Sebree, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Elroy Cooper; parents Otway and Maudie Jarvis; brothers, John Henry Jarvis, and TJ Jarvis; and sisters, Annie Mae Butler and Hilda Norrington.
Thelma is survived by her brothers, James, Junior Ray, Bob; sisters, Mary Hess, Glenda Ipox; sons, Rufus Cooper, Nelson Cooper (Julitta), Timothy Cooper (Misty); daughter, Retonda Tomblin (Leonard); grandchildren, Sherry Johnson, Rebecca Wolf, Phillip Cooper, Brian (BJ) Cooper, Charity Mayes, Joey Cooper, Kord Cooper, Jarred Cooper, Carly Cooper; many great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Friday, July 9, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit 5:00- 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021 and Friday 10:00 a.m. until service time.
