

She was an adored mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Thelma was an avid IU Basketball Fan. She enjoyed playing bingo and clabber. One of her greatest joys was visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Evansville Protestant Home, Deaconess Hospital, and a special thanks to Dr. E. Steed Jackson.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jack D. Jones; son, Daniel Jones; and daughter, Janet Jones.
She is survived by her son, David D. Jones (Debra) of Clarksville, Tenn.; daughters, Barbara Patten (Dean) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Carol Havens (Jim) of Wadesville, and Jayne Christian (David) of Newburgh; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Don Ficklin (Sandra), Frank Ficklin; sister, Patty Holman.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Alexander North Chapel in Evansville, with burial at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Friends may visit Sunday from 11 a.m. to service time at Alexander North Chapel.
