Thelma J. Terry

Thelma attended Boeke Baptist Church.

She had worked at JC Penny’s.

Thelma was a wonderful mom and grandmother.

She enjoyed decorating, being with her grandchildren, and going to the Casino.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Oza Terry on July 25, 2002; mother and stepfather, Margaret and James Poe; father, Jesse Jones; Father and mother-in-law, Teddy and Sally Terry; brother, Clifford Jones; and brother-in-law, Edward Terry.

She is survived by sons, Rodger (Pam) Terry and Rick (Debbie) Terry all of Newburgh; daughter Sandy (Jim) Schmitt of Evansville; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne (Joyce) Jones of Providence, KY, Norman (Karen) Poe of Folsomville, IN, and Tommy (Joyce) Poe of Evansville; sister-in-law, Carrie Jones of Evansville; brother-in-law, Daryl (Mary) Terry of Oneida, TN; sisters-in-law, Wanda (Shirl) Crabtree of Oneida, TN and Velma Adams of West Monroe, LA; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 4, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Terry Jones, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM and Monday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
