Tim was an entrepreneur and self-proclaimed adventurist. He attended Oklahoma State University, later graduating from the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in Business and Economics. He began his career as a professional pilot, spent a period of time working in the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office, and ultimately starting his own business, Fluid Systems, Inc.
He was a member of Evansville Lessing Masonic Lodge No. 464, Hadi Shrine Temple, and Royal Order of Jesters Court No. 102. Tim enjoyed traveling and exploring the world, scuba diving, cooking, magic, pranks and shenanigans, and telling stories and jokes with his many friends. In addition to being a proud family man, his love of aviation led him to be a flight instructor at Tri-State Aero.
Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret, in 2010 and his father, Darvin, in 1969, who owned France Coin Shop where he spent most of his afternoons and weekends as a young boy. He is survived by his children; Adrian and Alex France, sisters; Penny and Ginny France, nephew; Casey Stegall, niece; Lindsey Bean (Justin), great nephew; Kaplan Bean, great niece; Margaret Ann Bean, cousins; Jane Hodge and Tom Schwartz.
A Memorial Service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit on Friday from 3:00 until service time at the funeral home.
