Tonya Jane Walker

Tonya “Jane” (Gross) Walker, 69, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born March 23, 1946 in Bowling Green, KY to the late Paul and Helen (Glass) Gross.

She graduated from Central High School in 1964 and from Tristate Beauty College in 1965. She married her high school sweetheart, Dale Walker, and was a homemaker for their three children. She later worked at Eyemart. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for the holidays and family gatherings. She especially enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s school, club and sporting events and recitals.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Dale Walker; and her parents.

She is survived by her children, Greg Walker, Bryan (Misty) Walker and Dana (Eric) Fehrenbacher; grandchildren, Rylan Walker, Tia (Kyle) Hayden, Mason and Jaben Walker, Trevor and Trace Fulton and Lydia, Kye and Hildy Fehrenbacher; and great-grandchildren, Brantley Wilke.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dave Bowersox, with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
