Obituary of Treva Miles
Treva Ann Alldredge Miles, 76, passed away with the sun on her face and her husband in her gaze on January 30, 2023 after a brief but tender time at Hospice of Cincinnati. Treva very recently moved to Cincinnati to be closer to her daughter Jenny Cardosi and family. Born on November 6, 1946 to Myron Lee and Eileen Butler Alldredge, Treva’s upbringing was on the family farm in Mount Vernon, Indiana. A 4-H Champion and a Mt. Vernon High School Homecoming Queen, she was her father’s darling and mother’s constant helper and student. After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Evansville, she used her wisdom and talents as a first grade teacher, and later as a long-time children’s choir director. However, her most loved career was that of homemaker and mother. Treva married her soul-mate, Alan, on June 19, 1971 and had what they both described as absolute bliss for more than 51 years. Their children, Lee and Jenny Lou, brought beloved spouses, Tricia Pagani and Michael Cardosi to the family and Treva became the doting, immensely present grandmother to seven grandchildren: Niccolo, Callum, Marcella, and Augustine Miles, and Geno, Rocco, and Gigi Cardosi. She and Alan put many miles on their Jeeps traveling to see the grandchildren in their achievements and special moments of their childhood. These past few days have brought reminders to the family of how Treva cared for her own and her family’s style, grace, and put-togetherness. She was able to always bring beauty to everything she did and created. Treva is survived by her husband Alan Miles of Evansville, IN, son Lee Miles of Bloomington, IN, daughter Jenny Cardosi of Cincinnati, OH, brother Bruce Alldredge of Mt. Vernon, IN, brother-in-law Tom Canale of San Jose, CA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Rhonda. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Alexander East Chapel with Pastor Andy Payton officiating. Burial will follow at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at www.AlexanderEastChapel.com.
