She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy and loved spending time with her family.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Nelson; and daughter, Becky Nelson.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Nelson (Rose), and Dennis Nelson (Beth); daughter, Jan Sweeney (Aris); son, Terry Nelson (Glenda); brother, Lawrence Jordon; sister, Wanda Tester; brother, Donald Jordon; grandchildren, Brooke, Alex, Kristy, Austin, Caitlyn, Lisa, Robin, Joe, Jeff, Jennifer and Sonya; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by, Rev. Andy Anderson, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the funeral home.
