

Virginia worked for EVSC as a special education bus attendant. She had also worked for Republic Aviation during WWII. She attended Westwood General Baptist Church. She was in the Eastern Star #555 and Bethlehem Shrine #2. Virginia loved sewing, crocheting, and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Phipps; daughter, Marla Phipps; and grandson, Joshua Phipps.
Virginia is survived by daughter, Carla Hostettler (Tom); sons, Charles Phipps (Anita), Bill Phipps (Rachel); grandchildren, Beth Poiles, David and Robert Hostettler, Aubrey Phipps, Olivia and Brody Barnett; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00AM, Friday, June 8, 2012, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Teruel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday, June 7, 2012, from 2:00PM until 8:00PM and Friday, 9:00AM until service time at the funeral home.
