Obituary of Vivian Albin
Vivian VanWinkle Albin, 93, passed away, Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at VNA Charlier Hospice Center with her family by her side. Vivian was the daughter of Cyrus and Cordelia VanWinkle. Vivian married her high school sweetheart, Gayle Albin, and they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Gayle; daughter, Shirley Heneisen, and brothers, Eugene, Lee, and Earl VanWinkle. Vivian was a 66 year member of Grace Baptist Church. She served 30 years as Director of Children’s Ministry and was involved with other related ministries. Vivian had a servant’s heart and was a blessing to all who knew her. Surviving are her beloved family members; a son, Lonnie (Sue) Albin; daughter, Linda (Danny) Wilkinson; and a son-in-law, Virgil Heneisen. She was blessed with eight grandchildren; Michael (Becky) Heneisen, Kelly (Steve) Luker, Scott Heneisen, Darron Albin, Randy (Janey) Albin, Kendyl (Jason) Ashworth, Dean (Amy) Wilkinson, and Lynn (Tim) Alford. Vivian leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Eloise Heitzman and Virginia Taynton; sister-in-law, Lilly VanWinkle, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to two very special cousins, Richard and Phyllis Luttrull, for their many acts of compassion, kindness, and never-ending labors of love. Thanks to Dr. Chester Burkett, Nurse Karen, and staff for their loving care. Also, many thanks to VNA Charlier Hospice Center for their understanding and tender care. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Friday, June 15, 2012, at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel with burial at Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville. Friends may call from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, Thursday, June 14, 2012, and Friday 10:00AM until service time at the funeral home.
