

She was a devout member of First Southern Baptist Church and volunteered many hours at the Christian Life Center clothing bank. She was a very caring and giving person who enjoyed taking her flowers to those in need. Wanda worked many years at Kroger as a cashier.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alva Hollis and Paul Hollis; sister, Bettye Huth; sister-in-law, Margaret Hollis; and brother-in-law, Bob Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Simpson; brothers, George, Bob (Barbara) and Bill Hollis; sister, Anita Jones; sisters-in-law, Rae Hollis and Janet Hollis; brother-in-law, Jim Huth; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Paula Erwin.
Funeral services were 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. David Cullison, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 AM until service time at the funeral home.
