Obituary of Wayne J Engle
Wayne J Engle, 92, of Hawesville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, Indiana. He was born on May 2, 1928 in Limon, Colorado, to the late Elmer and Mary Blanche (Thompson) Engle. He retired from Weicker Moving and Storage Company in Colorado Springs, Colorado after working there many years. Wayne was a strong Christian man who loved the Lord and his church. He enjoyed being around people, gospel music and traveling. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Grace Louise (Risley) Engle, who passed away on February 14, 2020. He was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his daughters, Claudia Darlene Engle Serocki (John) of Pueblo, Colorado, Connie Lee Engle Eaton (Larry) of Hawesville, Kentucky, and Paula Marie Engle Rasch of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sons, Dennis Wayne Engle (Pamela) of Lakewood, Colorado and Ronald Gene Engle (Victoria) of Rush, Colorado; sixteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held July 6 at 2:30 pm at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance, Evansville, Indiana with John Smitson officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation is July 6 from 1:30 pm until service time at the chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to Tell City Church of the Nazarene, 17 Lausanne Court, Tell City, Indiana 47586.
