Wilburn C. Hunter

He was a member of Howell General Baptist Church for 58 years, where he was a member of the Challengers Sunday School Class. He retired from Arkla Industries in 1983.

Wilburn was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Catherine Hunter; sons, Jack and Gene Hunter; and granddaughter, Angie Murray.

He is survived by his sons, Don Hunter (Alice) and Roger Hunter (Yvette); two daughters-in-law, Lana and Rita Hunter; grandchildren, Pamela, Jeffrey, Dawn, Pam, Kenneth, Jackie, Mike, David, Ronald, Christy, Amanda, Brent and Brittany; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview Care Center for their compassionate care.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
