William "Bill" Roger Brown Sr.

William (Bill) Roger Brown Sr., 83, of Evansville, IN passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. He was born in Evansville on March 6, 1940 to the late William C. Brown and Margaret Elizabeth Althaus. He graduated from Reitz High School in 1959, then he worked at Whirlpool for 36 years. William enjoyed attending the sporting events of his grandchildren and traveling. He was an avid horse racing fan. Additionally he enjoyed listening to Irish music. William was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Shirley; and brother Jerry Brown. He is survived by ; daughters, Tamie West (Frank), Taryn Krohn (Chris); son, Roger Brown; sister, Carole Parkinson; brother, Jim Brown (Mary) and twin brothers Ronald (Karen) and Donald Brown; grandchildren, Lauren Unfried (Wesley), Christien West, Evan West (Jane), Aaron Krohn, Breann Joffray (Cody), Cameron Krohn (Morgan) and Liam Brown; great grandchildren, Ava Krohn, Gunner Krohn, Maverick Krohn, Mason Krohn, Jaelynn Joffray, Julian Joffray, Elliot Unfried, and Lucas Unfried. The family would like to give special thanks to the Deaconess Cardiovascular Trauma Team, Unit 4800 at Deaconess Hospital, Ascension Home Healthcare, and the Linda E. White Hospice House.
