He retired from Chrysler Corporation after 35 years. Bill was a self-employed automotive technician and most recently a lab instructor at Ivy Tech Community College. He was a member of St. James West United Methodist Church and the National Model Railroaders Club and enjoyed hydroplane racing.
Bill is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shayne; son, William Thomas Martin, III (Fawna); daughter, Shayla K. Martin; mom, Phyllis A. Martin; grandchildren, William Thomas Martin, IV, Catherine Elizabeth Martin, Hudson Thomas Martin, Isaac Martin, Ely Martin, Gabby Whoberry, and Brantley Thomas Whoberry.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel with Rev. Andy Scheller officiating. Entombment will follow at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
