William “Bill” D. Martin, 70, of Evansville, IN passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. He was born in Fort Leonard Wood, MO on June 6, 1954 to William Robert Martin and Ruby Jean (Goss) Martin.
Bill was most proud of the 50 years he worked at Silgan Closures as a machinist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Robert and Ruby Martin; and great-niece Ella Alene Short.
Bill is survived by his sister, Melinda Ziliak; brother, Don Martin; nieces, Manda (Jason) Short, Melani Dawn (Anthony) Hensley, and Shannon Marie (Michael) Holder; great-nieces, Eden Alene Short and Emma Hensley; great-nephews, Ethan Hensley, Max Logan and Sam Logan.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN.
A private family burial service will be held.
