Bill graduated from Bosse High School in 1950 and completed a “Small Business Course” at the University of Evansville in 1960. He served 4 years in the Naval Reserve from 1951-1955. He retired from National Temperature Control Centers (formerly Budlock Refrigeration Supply) in 1988 as their corporate cost and pricing coordinator after 35 years (to the day) of service. He was a past member of Fairlawn Methodist Church, serving one tenure as president of trustees.
In his retirement years, he was employed by Expressway Dodge, Inc. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and tending to his garden, especially his “prize” winning tomatoes. Bill was an avid sports fan, especially of the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved a good clabber game and also enjoyed playing softball, boating, billiards, bingo, and fishing. In 2018, he took part in the Southern Indiana Honor Flight EVV9.
He lived in Lakeside Manor for many years and had many friends there. He was a resident these last few years at North River Health Campus surrounded by many friends and a caring, loving staff.
He dearly loved his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn J. (2001); sister, Ruth E. Werner; brothers, Albert H. Jr. and Jack B. Reynolds, Sr.
Bill is survived by his two sons, Bill (Nita) and Mike (Eric); grandchildren, Nicole Holstein (Josh), Lauren Thomas (Noah), Megan Reynolds, and Karalyn Howard; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Reese, and Caleb Holstein, Isla and Teddy Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.
A public procession will take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., from Alexander East Chapel to Alexander Memorial Park where an Outdoor Memorial Service will be held.
