He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years. Bill enjoyed being involved in NHRA Drag Racing, going to casinos across the country, and traveling with his wife until her death in 2013.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Sondra Rizen; his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
He is survived by his son, Ryan Rizen (Julie); daughter, Lisa Lang-Erickson (Clayton); grandchildren, Brittney Rizen (Kyle), Ryan Rizen II, Seth Stanley, Jason Lang, Zach Lang, Brooke Erickson, Nicole Erickson, Logan Kemmerer, Jacob Kemmerer, and Mason Kemmerer; great-grandchildren, Madalynn Stanley, Hayden Stanley, and Colton Kemmerer; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved companion, Emmy.
A Military Service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Park Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Friends may visit on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until Noon at Alexander East Chapel.
