

She worked for Evans Café for 16 years, member of House of Prayer, and enjoyed cooking, canning and sewing.
Jean accepted Christ over 60 years ago and led her family and many people to Christ throughout her life. She loved and had a special place in her heart for each one of her children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Travis; and great-grandson, Andrew Hatfield; 2 sisters and a brother.
Jean is survived by her children, Geraldine Baughn of Evansville, Ruby Robinson (Thomas Sr.) of Central City, KY, Charlotte Simmons (Gillis), Steve Travis (Michelle), Billy Travis (Lana), Lisa Konermann (Chuck), and Kelly Fickas (Jon) all of Evansville; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ray Epley of Louisville, KY.
The family wishes to send a special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Family Staffing, and Park View Care Center.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Alfred “Happy” Lott, with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the funeral home.
