Berenice "Beanie" Marie Brodniak

Berenice “Beanie” Marie Brodniak, born April 6, 1921 to Herbert and Beatrice Downing in Port Townsend, WA, passed away on November 11, 2011 in Edmonds, WA. Beanie graduated from Everett High School, Class of 1940. She worked as a bookkeeper for Taylor’s Landing Restaurant in Mukilteo for over 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, boating, and spending time with her family and friends. Beanie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Beanie is survived by her sons Barry Brodniak of Lakewood and Herbert “Lee” Brodniak and his wife Karen of Copalis Beach, grandchildren Aaron Brodniak, Lora Brodniak, Devin Brodniak, 4 great-grandchildren, and her dear friends Betty Shaw and Art Losvar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Brodniak, in 1991. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 10 AM at St. John Mission, 829 – 3rd St., Mukilteo, WA 98275. A reception at St. John’s will be held after the Mass and Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Everett. Memorials in Beanie’s name may be made to Hospice of Snohomish County.
