

Betty Luella Mattson, 84, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She is born to Mary Margreta and Perley Lee Beck on October 29, 1928, on a small farm in Queens City, Missouri. Her family moved to Everett, Washington in 1935. Betty graduated from Everett High School in 1946. In 1948 married Dayle W. Langdon. They lived in Bellevue where they raised four children ; owned and managed Bellevue Appliance & TV Store. In 1972 Betty went to work for Sears in the customer service department until retiring in 1990. Betty met Sanford Mattson while attending a single adult fellowship (SAF) and married June 21, 1980. Together they formed Remarried Adult Fellowship (RAF). They hosted many wonderful gatherings and events and had many close friends. Betty was an active member of Bellevue Neighborhood Church where she and Sanford enjoyed many great friendships.
Betty is survived by her husband, Sanford Erland Mattson and brother, Billy Beck; her four children, Debra (Galen) Ludtke of Bellingham, Daniel (Cindy) Langdon of Normandy Park, David (Linda) Langdon of Vancouver, Washington and Diane (Kevin) Minor of SugarLand, Texas; nine of her ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held October 22, 2013 from 11:00 – 12:00 at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home in Everett. Burial will follow at 1:00 for the family at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett. Memorial Service will be celebrated at 2:00 on October 27, 2013 at Bellevue Neighborhood Church.
