Elena Nikolaevna Gusa

Elena Gusa was born in Moscow Russia. She met the love of her life in Russia while Larry was traveling the world. Larry and Elena married in June of 1994. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter Claudia, and two years later a wonderful boy Edward. They lived a fairytale life traveling to Hawaii, California and many other places. They were so Happy.

In February 2011, Elena's beloved Larry was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma. Elena was by his side through Larry's difficult journey until he passed, while she held his hand, on April 9 2011.

For years, Elena suffered from nerve damage from a surgery she had 10 years ago. The pain that Elena lived with grew day by day, and it seemed to escalate with the loss of Larry. She loved her family so much. Even through her pain, Elena made sure that she and the kids attended every family function with Grandma Joan, Curt, Kathy, Isaac and Veronica. She was a joy to be around on every occasion, her laughter was very contagious.

Elena succumbed to her pain on February 23, 2012. We know she had a glorious greeting by Larry in heaven, and is now pain free in the arms of the Lord, and for that we are happy. For us left on this earth, we loved her so much, words can not express our heart ache.

Elena was preceded in death by her parents, in Moscow. Her beloved husband Larry and her dear father-in-law Vaughn "dad".

Elena will be buried at Tahoma National Cemetery with Larry.
