

Born 2-2-22, Ella May Lilley passed away peacefully October 25, 2012 in Everett, WA. Born in Salt Creek, Wyoming, she spent her childhood in Grays Harbor, WA and married Elmer Lilley November 30, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1962.
During her lifetime Ella May worked as a homemaker, Scott Paper employee, and Mukilteo school bus driver, including years driving special education students. She enjoyed her life reading, learning and pursuing hobbies. She will be particularly remembered for her master gardening, growing flowers (dahlias being her favorite), vegetables, canning, bee keeping, raising animals and sewing crafts. Ella May will be deeply missed by her family who loved her for who she was, her continued interests in helping her family, and her laugh.
Ella May is survived by daughter, Edith McBride of Arlington, WA; grandchildren, Patricia Feldman of Sedro Woolley, WA, Tamara (Mike) McCoy of Mount Vernon, WA, and Richard McBride, Jr. of Richland, WA; great grandchildren, Jennifer Mink, Adrienne (John) Kuipers, Ryan McBride, Keegan McCoy, Meriel McCoy, Ashleigh (Garrick) Rogers, Lindsey (James) Rogers, Cassidy McBride and Mikayla McBride; great great grandchildren, Jaycelyn, Ava, Jonah and Amelia Kuipers, Liahna and Elora Rogers and Henry Conway; her son, Gene (Jean) Lilley of Everett; grandchildren, Kathleen Lilley of Oakdale, MN, David (Karen) Lilley of Everett; great grandchildren, Victoria Lilley Ruckle and Vincent Gene Hickenbottom who remember her fondly as GGL “Great Grandma Lilley”, as well as siblings Melvin (Barbara) Loomis of Everett, Rose Vessey of Aumsille, OR and Clara Fields of Grants Pass, OR.
Ella May is also preceded in death by siblings Elmer Loomis, Gladys Kirke and Louise Schostak and son in law Richard McBride.
The family would like to thank Providence Hospice & Home Care of Snohomish County, In Home Primary Care (Snohomish) and Amy’s Adult Care Home (Everett) with special thanks to Amy, Kim, Heather, Sama and Bridget for caring for Ella May in her final days.
A memorial and reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23rd at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home, 1702 Pacific Ave, Everett, WA 98201.
Ella May will be laid to rest next to her husband during a private family committal at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
