Joseph Bernard Pereira

Joe went peacefully to Our Lord into Heaven December 5, 2015, with his family by his side. Joe was 91 years old and born to Joseph and Pearl Pereira in Everett, Washington on March 10, 1924. He was a member of the Elks Club since 1950- also Redmen Lodge and Sons of Norway-Normanna. Joe retired from Snohomish County PUD and had owned his own trucking business years ago. He served in the US Army 1943 to 1945 and resided his entire life in Everett. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, they were married 69 wonderful years; son, Joe Pereira, Jr. (Nid), daughters, Joleen Younger (Stephen) and Jody Heiser (Kevin); six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Joe's greatest joys included playing racketball, having coffee with his buddies at Mikie's Restaurant, enjoying the sun, going to the casino and playing poker. He loved his cars, and most of all activities with his family. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and a resident of Washington Oakes. A Celebration of Life will be held at Purdy & Walters Cassidy at 1:00 p.m., December 19, 2015. A reception will follow at Everett Golf and Country Club from 2:30 to 4:30.
