June Platt

June Jensen Platt passed away peacefully following a strokeon Sunday, October 24, 2010. She is reunited with her son, Peter Jensen and her husband of 21 wonderful years, Dr. Peter Jensen. June was born in Tacoma and later moved to Lake Stevens with her husband,Peter, where together they raised their family. Following Peter’s death in 1969 she attended the University of Washington, earning a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. She later fell in love with and married Frank Platt in May, 1979. June and Frank spent the following 31 years living life to the fullest and traveling the world. June’s greatest joy was spending time with their family, including their dog, Annie.She will always be lovingly remembered by her husband, Frank and his sons John (Mary) and Tom (Jean); herdaughters and their husbands Gale& Roger Coats, Kirsten & Jim Haugen, and Lynne & Larry Lian; grandchildren Eddie (Kim), Dyer, Erin (Michael), P.J., Sara (Tyler), Allison (Cullen), Lars, Chris, Lisa, Jennifer (Dave); great-grandchildren Hartley and Alex,and numerous other family and friends. A celebration of June’s life will be held on December 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the Everett Golf & Country Club.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Lake Stevens Food Bank.
