Lois M. Mellinger

Lois M. Mellinger passed away peacefully on March 13, 2010 at the age of 88. She was born in 1921 to Willis and Edna McCarty in Seattle, WA.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Mark, in 1974; husband, Kenneth, in 1980; and daughter, Linda, in 2010.

Her surviving family members are her only brother, Donald McCarty, of Lynden, WA; son, Edward Britting, of Hinesville, Georgia; daughter, Nancy Hinds (Cliff), of Arlington, WA; children, Kathy Stueckle of Monroe, WA, Steve Mellinger and Gary Mellinger, both of Edmonds, WA, and Carol Gaudette (Darren), of Stanwood, WA.

She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Lois was a life time member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Edmonds where she sang in the choir for over 30 years.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at AbbeyView Cemetery, 3601 Alaska Rd, Brier, WA. There will be a memorial service following at 3:00 p.m., at Edgewood Baptist Church in Edmonds.

Our family would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the love and care that was given to our mother by the 5th floor nursing staff at Bethany at Pacific for the past 7 years.
