Marcella E. Reed

Marcella E. Reed, born December 11, 1920 in Gold Bar, WA, passed away on April 17, 2011 in Marysville, WA. She graduated from Everett High School, Class of 1939. Marcella met Orrie S. Reed, from Kansas, while he was in the Navy stationed at Whidbey Island. They married on November 14, 1943. Marcella is survived by her children, Dennis W. Reed (Carol) of Marysville, Marcia A. Anderson (Stephen) of Sammamish, Travis W. Reed (Rebecca) of Vancouver, WA, brother Wayne H. Heiser (Frances) of Mill Creek, grandchildren Alisha (Doug), Joshua, Nicholas (Marisa), Christopher, Melissa (Nathan), great-grandchildren Ian, Colin, Cooper, Finley, and Everett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orrie S. Reed, in 2009, grandson Dwain Reed in 1994, and sister Joyce Forbes in 2010. A celebration of Marcella’s life will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 10AM at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home, 1702 Pacific Ave., Everett, 425-252-2191, purdy-walters-cassidy.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society or Providence Hospice.
