Marie Emma Scott

Marie Emma Scott passed away March 12th, 2013. She was born in Chicago, Ill on November 4th, 1918 to Theophil & Mary Leona VanRoeyen. Marie worked as a beautician & as a counselor at Fir Crest School. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish of Everett. Marie held a number of chairs while a member of Rebecca Lodge culminating in President of District of Washington. In her spare time she crocheted & knitted many afghans, doilies & table cloths, the pineapple a favorite pattern. She enjoyed music of all kinds but especially Andre Rieu. Marie is survived by her son Walter Scott (wife Rita) & her daughter Therese Kruger (husband Bill); by grandchildren Monica Walker (husband Tom) & Paul G. Scott; great grandchildren Sydney & Grace. She is also survived by her brother Harry VanRoeyen (wife Jackie) sisters-in-laws Evelyn VanRoeyen & Wilma VanRoeyen, many nieces & nephews & a host of friends. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Paul A. Scott, her parents, one sister & four brothers. Her family wishes to express their appreciation to Forest View THC for the care given to Marie. We also express many thanks to her close & dedicated friend Amy. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Mary Magdalen, 8517-7th Avenue, Everett on Friday March 22, 2013 at 11:00am, internment will follow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, 1615 SE Everett Mall Way, Everett. Memorials may be given to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Purdy & Walters with Cassidy.
