

He was born August 29, 1959 in New York, New York to William and Mary Matson. As a youth, he lived with family in Glasgow, Scotland for a few years. They moved to Everett with his mother in 1970. Bill was a graduate of Everett High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force and received a medical discharge. He was a wood worker by trade having fabricated many pieces of fine furniture. He mainly worked for two different companies one in Everett and one in Arlington.
His hobbies were photography and painting. Bill enjoyed these hobbies so much that he would take classes to improve his abilities. He has some of his photographs displayed in galleries and would bring his works to art shows. Bill also enjoyed his video games and was really good at trouble shooting computer problems. He loved receiving gifts from Scotland and was happy when his sister found a Scottish gift shop in Redmond.
Bill is survived by his sister, Moira “Scottie” Huff and brother-in-law, Mike Crews of Lake Stevens, Washington; numerous nieces and nephew; his step-mom, Fern Matson of Cape Coral, Florida; his two faithful furry companions, Boomer and Jordy; and all of his wonderful friends in Seattle, that were his extended family.
Memorial Gathering will be held Sunday, October 23rd at 3:00 p.m. at Regrade Dog Park – 2251 3rd AVE Seattle WA 98121.
