Adeline M. Super

DAdeline Marie Super (nee Gulch), age 98, passed away peacefully to join her husband on April 22, 2014, at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, only a few blocks from the house she occupied with her family from 1953 to 2007.

She grew up in the Chicago area and attended St. Mary’s High school and local community college. She loved music, especially the piano, which she played until a few years ago and loved to play at every family gathering through the years. She gave both of her sons piano lessons, as well as most of the neighborhood.

Adeline traveled to Washington D.C. to work for the War Department just prior to the declaration of war in 1941. She would describe to her sons and grandchildren the activities leading to the war as well as her lunches with her future husband, Peter who also worked in the same office. She married Peter in 1946 and raised 2 sons. In the early 70s she went back to school to brush up on her secretarial skills and was employed as an Executive Assistant for Sales in the Chicago office of Anheuser Busch until 1980.

She loved to visit as well be visited by her grandchildren from different parts of the country.

She will be dearly missed by her sons and their families.

Mom, we will all miss you and love you. Adeline was preceded in passing by her husband of 55 years, Peter. She is survived by her Loving sons Peter J. (Susan) Super, William A. (Terrie) Super. Treasured grandmother to Peter P. Super, Emilee Super Fulton, Christina Super Keller, Nicholas William Super, and Elizabeth Super. Beloved great- grandmother of Preston, Declan, and Liam. Visitation Friday, April 25th 3:00pm – 9:00pm at Kenny Brothers Funeral Directors, 3600 W. 95th Street, Evergreen Park. Funeral, Saturday, April 26th prayers 9:30am from Kenny Brothers, for a Mass at 10:00 am at St. Bernadette Church 9343 S. Francisco Avenue, Evergreen Park, Illinois.
