She graduated High School at Angel Guardian in Chicago, IL. She began working at Illinois Bell where she became of member of the chorale group. She loved to sing, especially showtunes!
Betty was married and focused her time to raise her only son, Leonard Kemper. Who she lovingly nicknamed “Peanut”.
She worked for the Chicago Public School where she met her companion, William George Herman, “Woody”. Woody could always be found being a guardian angel for Betty.
After many decades of service with Chicago Public Schools she retired from Dvorak school, where she was the Assistant to the Principal. Then she spent time making the most of her retirement.
Betty is preceded in death by her mother Amy Adams, and brother Edwin Adams.
Her memory will be cherished by son Leonard (Lois) Kemper, Life Companion, William G. Herman (Woody), sister, Dorothy (Melvin) Collins, niece Elise (Kevin) McWoodson, Greatgrand son, Kenneth Edwards, 10 Great-Great grandchildren, and loving friends.
