Miss Cealie was a skillful surgical instrument technician (shown "takin' care of business" upper left). As seriously as she took her work and as professional as she was, laughter and smiles tended to erupt all around her, as these pictures with her hospital colleagues attest.

A famous quote states,
"Well behaved women rarely make history"
Here's to woman who knew how to have fun and made history OUT LOUD!

I enjoyed the privilege of working with Cealie for a couple of decades at Lutheran General Hospital, where she worked as a technician in a surgery support department. I used to enjoy watching her run circles around "kids" half her age. She was a dedicated employee with an old school work ethic and a big heart. She carried a contagious positive spirit with her; always had a smile, an encouraging word or a hug to give away. She loved life, good food, her family and Jesus and she shared all of these generously.
The photo here is from my wife's and my wedding which we were blessed to have Miss Cealie attend (with friend Tammie Smith @ left). Cealie opened her heart to my new wife Cindy immediately & we so treasured the friendship that blossomed.
Cealie Mae lived with heart & soul, courage, humor and love. We have lost a bright light with her passing but she's left memories that are indelible and as beautiful as she was. And, I believe that heaven is a little more raucous with her arrival. We love and miss you Cealie Mae!
