Clemmie T. Richardson, age 73, of Chicago, formerly of Greenwood, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home on December 16, 2019 with his loving family at his side.

He was born May 18, 1946 in Greenwood, Mississippi to the late George and Henrietta Richardson. He is the loving father to Clemmie T. Carthans, Angelo (Verena) Carthans,Sabrina Richardson, and Latoya Vaughn; proud grandfather to Ashley, Isabella, Paris, Angelo, Jamari, Darion, Kira, D'Angelo, Kaleel, Kirena, Mikaya, Mikiya, Miracle, Kalita, Isaac, and Jayden; brother to Crystal Williams, Asa Hancock, Opal Robinson, the late Milton Hancock, and the late Billy Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Clemmie honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated employee of Meade Inc. for 30 years, and retired from Smurfit Stone after 20 years of service. Clemmie was a 33 degree Mason with the John G. Jones #7 Masonic Lodge. He loved shooting pool, spending time with his family, and making others laugh.

Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2019 from 3:00-9:00 pm at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home (11300 S. Central Ave; Oak Lawn, IL). Again from 11:00- 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 28, 2019. Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm on Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
