Darnell attended Hyde Park Academy in Chicago, Illinois and after graduating from High School in 1996 he attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois and then attended Robert Morris College in Chicago, Illinois where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration. He also Received his Sterile Processing Certification in 2016.
Darnell loved listening to his music, playing basketball and other sports, and he truly loved spending time with his family. His passion was teaching and playing with his younger cousins who were more like his children, and he got delight out of high fiving them when he asked a question and they gave him a right answer. Darnell loved having them jump up to try and high five him as he stood tall, making them have to stretch a bit to reach his hand. It was his way of giving them a thumbs up and letting them know they did well. This brought a delightful smile to them and him.
Darnel's most treasured pleasure was helping his students at "Wendell Green Elementary School where he worked through the Boys and Girls Club of America in Chicago, Illinois. He was truly dedicated in spirit and soul, mentoring them on his own time and showing love to them by spending time with them even afterschool; playing basketball, football and attending after school sports programs to show his love and support for them.
Darnell received Jesus as his LORD and Savior at a young age and was Baptized at Avalon Park Church in Chicago, Illinois.
On June 4, 2016 Darnell was ushered into the Kingdom of GOD by the Heavenly Father's Holy Angels. He was joyfully received by the Heavenly Father and into the bosom of GOD's dear Son. The Heavenly host rejoiced as the Father and Son of GOD declared "Welcome home my beloved Son."
