What can you say when your friend since we were 5 passes on? No words can express the sorrow I now feel or the pure joy that I have experienced for the last 81 years knowing Denny. Through Visitation School, St Rita, college years, the Army, and many many years after Denny always put a smile on my face. He never had a bad day, and if he did (which I am sure he did) he never let it show. He treated my kids as his own which is why all of my kids knew and loved him. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the Palm of His Hand.

Mr. Sheehan was not only a great teacher to his students but also admired and respected by all students who came through DeLaSalle. He never missed a beat and always looked out for us. God bless Him and his Family .

Mr. Sheehan was one of the finest men I have ever had the privilege of knowing. He was full of joy and laughter and quick with the perfect corny joke! He was also an outstanding educator, mentor and friend to all his DLS students. Denny was there for me right from the very beginning of my DLS education, as he personally picked me up and drove me to De La Salle for my freshman entrance exam. My folks also loved him.

Denny you will always have a very special place in my heart and I will miss you beyond words!

Dennis was my older by a few years first cousin. He went before me to St. Rita HS and to Loyola University. Before I was born, my parents lived on May St. near Dennis’ family. Dennis was a good man. My condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Dennis. Rest In Peace Dennis.

My absolute favorite teacher and mentor. He treated everyone fairly and like men. He ignited a fire in me for my love of history. The way he taught it was inspirational. After graduation I went into the service. When I was on leave one time I went back to the school. He saw me through the door window and dragged me into the classroom. Introduced me and I couldn't believe all the nice things he said about me. It was then that I realized how he always took an interest in everyone he taught. God Bless you Mr. Sheehan. Enjoy Paradise.

I'm 65 years old, DLS '73. I was fortunate to be a student of Mr. Sheehan for two years. Because of Mr. Sheehan I became an admirer of history, a Patriot, and military veteran. SOOO many times I would / still share stories of Mr. S. Method of teaching. Loved his words "Korea, Land of the Frozen chosen" "the Coca-Cola kids can handle it" so many one liners I share with others. My only regret is I didn't communicate this to Mr. Sheehan before his passing. There are thousands of us, his students, that mirror my words. With tears in my eyes, and from the bottom of my heart I salute you Mr. Sheehan. I'm proud to be a Coca-Cola kid. 🇺🇸🙏 Thank you G.I. Raul X

You were truly one of my most favorite teachers during my time at De La Salle. I remember us watching the World at War videos and just how entertaining you made learning about history. Thanks for all the memories. May you rest in peace.
