Linda Jo Driver Burton, age 70, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2019 at her residence, with her loving family by her side.

Linda was born February 10, 1949 in Louise, Mississippi to the late Daisy Jackson. She is the loving wife of the late Charles Burton. Linda is the beloved mother to Beverly Nutall and Ebony Driver; cherished grandmother of Crimson Driver, Antoniee Emery and Demari Johnson; fond sister to Brenda (Kevin) Lockhart, Tommie Jackson, Wendell (Mary) Jackson and Calvin (Sallie) Jackson; cousin to many, niece and aunt to several, and loved by many church family members.

Linda spent the crowning years of her life with her soul mate, Charles Burton. Charles and Linda had grown an inseparable bond through pure love and friendship. Linda was known to have the “Midas Touch” within the kitchen. Anyone who knew Linda, knew that cooking was God’s gift to her. She was a headstrong woman that took pride in her opinion, another glowing trait that the family loved about her. Linda was a faithful member of New Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago, where she was an usher and mother of the church for many years, where she established many long time relationships. She was relied and depended on to perform many tasks, and performed them without hesitation for her church family. To meet Linda, always left a long lasting impression or influence. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
