Great friend, we started at the post office together. We often hung out with our wives, Arlene and Dolores. We enjoyed playing sports games on our play stations, online and together. I was last with Shawn on the Monday before his passing. He was like a brother to me, I will miss his laughter and presence.

The employees of Italmatch Chemicals in Bedford Park send the Williams family and friends our deepest condolences in this difficult time. Shawn was always full of smiles when he visited our plant. He is greatly missed. May he rest in peace.

I am a customer along his route in the industrial park. All of us in this office are sending our deepest sympathies. We are so sorry for your loss. We always knew when he was off of work because the mail would never get to us on time! He always made sure when he got back that everything was ok. He ALWAYS had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. Shawn wasn't "just a mailman" he was a bright spot in our day. I really want his family to know the he was loved by many and though he was lighthearted, he took his job seriously and performed it well. I'm personally heartbroken that I won't see him again...sending love and prayers your way.

My name is Joann, I work for one of the businesses on Shawn's route.
He was the nicest person ever to have come in every morning and exchange a few words with you, not to mention his willingness to go out of his way to help in his capacity as a postal worker.
What is more - I go for walks in the morning, whether permitting, and I would see Shawn every day , going up and down people's stairs, he would take out his earbuds and talk to me. Weather, daughter's accident (I myself had a bad one in July), cars...you name it.
He was such a witty, happy go lucky guy, always beaming - I can only imagine how devastating his sudden passing is to his Family.
He's gone to better pastures, but we - the ones who remained - will feel the void forever!
I cannot believe I will never see him again on my walks.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Shawn, and your Family.

My condolences to the family, as well as prayers. There are no words to explain how hard this is for the Clearing station family(post office). My name is Andrea Jackson and I left clearing about 4 yrs ago but I remained a Clearingnite. Shawn was 1 of the family that went way back with me, we were family, we raised our families and talked about our kid, spouses and life. We laughed talked, had many celebrations at the station, for which Shawn was always called upon to barbeque. Shawn was pretty quite, did his route, but was definitely a part of the family. There was laughter and jokes in his corner everyday. Shawn was a PRECIOUS jewel to your family, and we thank your family for sharing him with us. We will never forget him, he lives in our ❤ Forever. GOD is with you, grab his hand, for Shawn is in his loving arms.
