Thomas Bibbs worked at the City of Chicago Bureau of Sanitation until he retired in 1993. He was also employed as a limousine driver for the Oak Lawn Hilton Hotel on 95th Street in Chicago, IL.
Elder Thomas Bibb’s most noted work was his diligence in the house of the Lord where he served faithfully over 40 years at Holy Trinity Pentecostal Church at 9215 S. Ashland Avenue, Chicago, IL under Mother Agatha Avery, Mother Virdia Bibbs, Pastor Everlean Bibbs Ofei as the Assistant Pastor. He enjoyed learning and being a student of the word, as well as teaching at least three generations about the ways of the Lord Most High. Fear God! Repent! Keep His commandments! He spoke truth, didn’t cut corners and didn’t care if you didn’t like it! Even as his heath began to decline, He stood in the pulpit or on that front row and declared the word of the Lord boldly every week as he was able. He continued to keep the church clean and ready for worship.
On Saturday, July 21, 2018, the Lord called him home to receive his sabbath rest.
